My first time here, it was nice. I’m an outdoorsy person and love nature. Beautiful scenery. I definitely saved this in my list of places to go to get away from all that city life. I highly recommend checking it out.
The only reason it is not a 5 star is because this place alot of people come and parking becomes hard to get and their is a sign that says not to leave valuables in the car. Make sure to bring some type of floating device because I myself have helped saved someone from drowning more then once. The pool of water is atleast 9 feet but it is generally all around 7 feet deep. It is small and it does get packed especially in the summer. Other then that make sure you know how to swim or have along stick around to help pull a friend or person from drowning.
It’s a crystal clear pool with lots of brave young people jumping off the rocks high on top of the pool. We would always hike across the riverbed and take a break here on our hikes and also enjoy watching the brave people jumping into the pool in summer. Check out some of the videos I shot. However, after people’s fun time here, some of them dumped their trash at the whole area! What a shame! Please pick up your own trash and carry it out so that we all can have a clean and pleasant environment for fun, people!!
This place was literally amazing I had so much fun getting lost 😂 smoke weed and take a walk trust me you’ll enjoy yourself go when it’s hot to enjoy the water and wear comfortable sneakers no crocs!!!! (I suffer with depression an this place was a real uplifting experience ❤️🫂😊 …
The city needs to manage this place better. It would be awesome if it wasn’t covered in garbage. Disgusting, disappointing, and dangerous.
A nice place but mostly not for family who wants a quite places on weekends. Parking was easier for us but the lot is small and can be tough to get spot on busy weekends. DON’T Park on the perpendicular edges of the parking lot and will be ticketed. Walking to the pool from parking lot is about ~ 1 mile. Stroller can be taken till 1/2 mile and then you have to walk on unpaved , rocky , trail. Trail to pool is doable by most. a lot of people were partying with loud music (I enjoyed the atmosphere ). Some scattered trash and few people are leaving the trash at the area. Water was not so clear and it becomes muddy at places. Streams depth are not so deep may me max 7-9 feet at places. Being trash cover with you if you are planning to do a picnic. Officially there is no cooking , grilling , no alcohol , smoking etc . But you could see all the above happening at the area. I would not come again to this place, unless the safety of the parked car is taken care. ( haven’t personally met any situation but could see it can happen). less water during our visit.
WATER felt thick & heavy despite looking clear it doesn't feel healthy. Signs NO SWIMMING allowed all over parking lots.
This park/river is in The middle of an old upscale town & is very over crowded & regulated.Park workers & police drive up/down the trail along the river, groups from school & lots of town people are all over, Good place to walk, there's a restaurants, lots of school group projects , horses sports in the area, great for locals.
This creek is extremely contaminated with treated sewage!!! there is even a sign that says dont swim here!! too many people get sick from the water
